Safety Monitor Symmetry Concerning Beam Bridge Damage Utilizing the Instantaneous Amplitude Square Method

It is critical for the safety monitoring of highway bridges that beam bridge damage can be identified from dynamic response passing vehicles. Numerical simulations vehicles were conducted utilizing vehicle–bridge coupling vibration theory and indirect measurement method. Fast Fourier transform was performed on time history vehicle acceleration, driving frequency component its instantaneous amplitude square value (IAS value) obtained by band-pass filtering Hilbert processing. The IAS detected location bridge. identification method used to analyze applicability a simply supported bridge, continuous an irregular skew effects speed, damping, social are discussed. results show effect better when speed less than 4 m/s.
